Missing In Action

Hey-a, Chick-a-dees!  Sorry I've not been posting here lately.  Our computer, 'Lyddie Laptop', was having some work done. . .you know, a nip here, tuck there.  Finally, she came back, good as new. . .minus a few hundred photos saved of one super cute little boy.  :-(  But I've forgiven her and we're ready to get to some blogging!!  And my oh my do I have some things for us to talk about!  I hope to get to them all! 

I'll recap on what's been happening around here while I've been on hiatus. . .

My favorite gals, the girls of the Community Club I'm in, hosted our annual Community Day and Car Show.  It was a success and we were able to raise money for another memorial scholarship! 

School started and that's always a little emotional for me.  See, I loved being in school.  I might not have been Miss Popularity, but school was a big social event every day for me!  Loved chatting it up, loved being in clubs and activities, loved going to football and basketball games. . .ahhh, I just loved being in school.  Yeah. . .I'll do a post on school.  Moving on. . .

Oh, honeys!  My Gran passed down her HoOsIeR CaBiNeT to me!!!!  For YEARS I've wanted a Hoosier Cabinet and for most of those years, I've wanted THAT Hoosier Cabinet!  Now, one trait I got from my Gran for sure is the love of decorating (and cooking, crafting, being a good mother and tons of SaSs among other things) and she changes out furniture and paint colors as much as most people change their toilet paper roll!  She is an awesome decorator, too!  So anyhoo, she was a little tired of the red and white cabinet and asked if I wanted it.  Did I?!?!?  Um, are fat dogs heavy. . .YES I WANTED IT!  lol!  So, that beautiful cabinet, that by the way, my Grandpa totally refinished, is the crown jewel of my red and white kitchen!  It's like it was built to be in Sister Sassafrass's kitchen!  I'll post photos of it as soon as I figure out how to post photos on my blog.

Okay, where was I. . .Oh yes. . .It's FALL Y'ALL!  Fall is my FaVoRiTe season!!!!  I have the afghans all washed and out ready to snuggle, the Crock Pot is out of it's summer hibernation and ready for some warm soups to simmer, the coffee pot has been brewing up some yummy flavored coffees, pumpkin bread is on the menu and I've just finished the latest copy of Country Sampler. . .you know, the fall one. . .it's my fave!  Yeah. . .it's FALL.  Autumn.  Love love love this time of year.

So anyway, lots to discuss.  Best I can say is get a pot of coffee going and grab your sweater. . .we've got a lot to talk about!
