In my jammies...

Yeppers, friends, here I sit.  Cozied up in my recliner, a totally awesome mug of Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino from the Amish Wal-Mart sitting beside me, my pink fuzzy slippers on my tootsies and in some warm jammies.  And it's the middle of the day.  Do I feel guilty?  Um . . . no.  lol!  Just so you know, I did get up, shower, do my hair and make up, and change in to some clean jamms, so there.  heehee.

It's been one of those weeks.  Sweet Pea has been sick.  Poor baby.  It started last week and hasn't let up.  After two doctor's visits and some x-rays, we learned he has an ear infection, croup and pneumonia.  I feel so bad for him!  He hasn't been sleeping through the night the past few nights and neither has this Mamma.  So, after I get up in the morning, I get ready, put some new p-jax on and start the day.  Hey!  I won't be leaving the house, might as well be comfy!  heeheehee!  Sweetie Pea is sleeping now, so I thought I'd give y'all a howdy do and give you a little update on the happenings around here.

Last weekend the Community Club I'm in hosted our annual Fall Festival Chili Supper.  It was a flop, I'm sorry to say.  Breaks my heart!  We work really hard to do things for our community and sometimes it seems like we don't get a lot of support.  But . . . we did make money!  Not sure how, but we actually made money, so there's more moolah to put back in to our awesome township!  Woo  hoo!!

Fall Festival Chili Supper at the Barbeque King's place.

I got Sweet Pea's Halloween Costume.  I wanted to make one for him, but I couldn't think of anything super cute.  I saw an adorable pirate costume at Factory Card Outlet and went ahead and bought it.  But since I wanted to make something for him for the Big Day, I decided to make a Pirate Ship for his wagon to pull him around in on Trick or Treat night!  Yo ho ho and a bottle of . . . milk.

I'm itching to do some things around The Ranch here.  I hate my dining room/front living room area.  It's kind of one big room and I want to do something different.  I like my furniture, I just want to do something else.  Give me your ideas . . .

Here is the dining area.  It's a cozy area, but it needs something.  It's too dark.  Whatcha think?

Here is the living area.  It's our front room.  We never really sit in here.  It's our 'company room' if you will.  This is the room that I always said if I had a child they would never play in here.  HA!  See that fire truck and airplane . . . those aren't The Deuce's or mine!  haha!  But seriously, suggestions?  Paint, maybe?  The Deuce would kill me for saying this, but I think I want to carpet this room.  He would kill me because a few years ago, this was carpeted.  After visiting a neighbor's house and seeing her beautiful hardwood floors, I came home and started pulling up the carpet.  At 2 in the morning!  I liked the hardwood flooring at first, but now . .  not so much.

This is the bathroom.  I want to do something with it, too.  I like themes, I need a really good one for in here.  Right now it's all red, white and blue and USA.  Don't know why, but I got all patriotic in the potty room.

Are you loving this autumn weather, friends?  I sure am!  A friend of mine sent me some photos via email that he took of our township.  They were beautiful!  I'd love to print them out so I can look at them in the summer or winter months and enjoy the beauty and color of my favorite season.  I'm also thinking up some yummy dishes to make on Turkey Day.  Saw a recipe on Cook's Country the other day for French Silk Pie I think I'll make for my Mom's birthday next week.  If you know my Mom, you know she LoVeS chocolate!

So, yeah, dumplin's, this is a really random post.  Not much to say.  I suppose I just wanted to get on here to catch up with you on what I've been up to!  I really want your ideas for my rooms, though.  Time to redecorate!!  The Deuce will be thrilled!!  hehehe!  So leave your comments!  Please!

Until next time, puddin' pies . . .
