*Gasp!* Two posts in a week!

Hello there, friends!  So nice of you to come back and check on Sister Sassafrass and the fam!  We're hanging in there!  The Little Boy had surgery last week and all is well!  Praise to Jesus for that!

We headed to our Capital City to the Children's Hospital for his surgery Thursday.  Had a little scare on Wednesday because he woke up a pretty sick kid.  I was worried they might postpone the surgery.  Luckily, his pediatrician got him in Wednesday afternoon and gave him the nod for surgery.  Shew!

Mommy and the Little Boy before surgery.

His surgery 'jammies' looked more like a pint sized prison jumpsuit!  hahaha!

As I said, Glory to our Heavenly Father, The Little Boy did very well and is continuing to do well.  A challenge has been trying to keep our energetic little munchkin from being such an energetic little munchkin!  The Little Boy's grandparents all bought him prizes and movies to help keep him still and calm as he is in these post-op days.  I should have been praying more about keeping him from running around like the wild man he usually is!  It's been hard!

One of the movies TLB got was We Bought a Zoo.  I thought I would do a little movie review for all my little bloggy friends!

Now I have to be honest, when this movie came out in theatres, my first thought was, 'Wow, Matt Damon sure has put on weight.'  And I'm not gonna lie, it was hard getting past that in the beginning of the movie, (hahaha) but I have to say . . . this is a fantastic family movie!  I would give it Ultimate Hold in my Sister Sassafrass Rating System.

(Best being Ultimate Hold, followed by Super Hold (good, but not great), Flexible Hold (eh, not real thrilled) and finally, No Hold (blah, yawn, you have to have some hold!)  Of course, these are all based on the hold of hair products.  I want Ultimate Hold, to keep your hair nice and close to God, you have to have some hold!  hahaha!  (It all makes sense in my mind!  hahaha)

Anyhoo, back to my review . . . The movie is rated PG but I was comfortable with TLB watching it with us.  There is some 'mild language' shall we say, but far less than what you would hear on network TV.  (And no, I don't think that is right, either.  Unfortunately, it's the world we live in.)  The Little Boy didn't keep with the entire movie, but he's two years old.  Don't let that stop you from watching it with your kiddos!  Do like we did, everyone get in jammies or comfy clothes and snuggle up on the couch with blankets and snacks and enjoy the show!  It was a fun Family Movie Night!

The movie is based on a book by Benjamin Mee, which is who Matt Damon plays in the movie.  If I understand correctly, it's a true story.  I want to know the name of the book because I would like to read it.  The book is always better than the movie . . . and this movie was great.

We had snacks and enjoyed the show in jammies!

Other things I've done since we've not really left the house has been rearranging and reorganizing The Little Boy's toys.  This child has soooooooooooooooo many toys!  The Deuce and I cleaned out his over-flowing toy box in our Family Room and threw some out, packed some away, moved some to his bedroom and kept some in there for him to play with.  It's been like Christmas all over!  The Little Boy has been going through the toys like he's never seen some before!  hahaha!  I imagine it's because they were in the bottom of his toy box and he always has picked from the top!

Potty training is still going well.  We've had a few casualties, like a Spider Man toothbrush apparently decided to take a swim in TLB's toilet water.  Yuck!  And the other night, The Deuce said that toilet wasn't flushing correctly.  I believe it's because there might be some Lock Blocks or crayons stuck somewhere in between where TLB's tooshie sits and the septic tank.

Well, I suppose I should close this post.  It's been a lengthy one with lots of rambling . . . but isn't that why you read my blog?!?!  hahaha!  And, hey, I've been stuck at The Ranch with a lot of time on my hands, time to think about what to blog about!

Okay my friends . . . Stay warm in these chilly spring days!  Maybe rent the zoo movie at the Redbox and snuggle up with your fam and have a good ol' Family Movie Night!

Love you guys!!!

xoxoxo
